Something is always unique in the all activities of Vidyoday Foundation. Efforts were always put for variety, modernity and novelty.

 

Study through Research:

In 2019 – 2020 efforts for collection of information and understanding them were put by the method of Research and Development in the minds of the students. For different std students the different activities were selected.

The students of std Vl were given the study of the flowers and the birds of Vidyalaya by research. They were supposed to observe the photos of those birds and flowers kept around the library. More over they made the study of the charts of those flowers and birds and referred the books regarding the topics from the library. Even they observed the real flowers and birds minutely and made the drawings along with the provision of written information side by side. All these sheets were put in display for competition.

All the students of std Vll were given the topic of Life and Work of the founder of Shri Vallabh Kanya Kelavani Mandal – Shree Subhadraben Shroff. The students were inspired to collect the information for her through the Khambis put on the huge compound of Vidyalaya. P. T. Teacher and Drawing Teacher of Vidyalaya Shrimati Manishaben and Shrimati Ritaben provided the information by giving them the lectures on the topic. The students collected the information with high regards for her and participated in the Quiz regarding.

The students of std Vlll were given the topic to collect the information regarding the medicinal trees
around the compound of Vidyalaya. They referred the khambis put around the compound of Vidyalaya and collected the matters about Ardusi, Tulasi, Mahendi, Aritha etc. Besides they went on google and made detailed research on the same topic. Very enthusiastically they took part in the Essay Competition regarding the same topic.

All these students have taken part in the activities and competitions provided to them with full enthusiasm and zeal. The thing to be noticed is among all the activities 13 students got 1st rank,
13 students got 2nd rank and 13 students got 3rd rank. All these 39 students were encouraged by the distribution of prizes and certificates on 9th January 2020. Some books were kept in the library so all the students can have benefit of them. The Principal and the teachers of Primary School who put the full efforts to make this activity and prize distribution function successful were also appreciated by token of love – books given to them.

The entire primary school – the principal, staff and all the students remained present to witness the programme. The President of Vidyoday Foundation Shrimati Kalyani Mehta and the Project manager Shrimati Urmilaben Desai graced the function by attending it.

 

Computer Donation:

In the era of Computer and Technology Vidyoday Foundation has put efforts to help the poor and needy people by providing them Computer Education. It searched the Trusts who are working in remote area out of which it donated computers to 3 Trusts through C-Metric Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

  • Vishva Vatsalya Manav Seva Trust – Bagasara.
    This trust is providing education to needy and poor families of surrounding villages.
    So Vidyoday Foundation has provided 20 Computers to Vishva Vatsalya Manav Seva Trust – Bagasara.
  • Virayatan Vidyapith – Mandavi – Jakhania.
    Virayatan is running school in the interior part of Kuchchh. In this area computer Education is rare. So Vidyoday Foundation has provided 45 Computers to Virayatan Vidyapith – Mandavi – Jakhania.
  • Shree Vallabh Kanya Kelavani Mandal – Rajkot.
    In this organisation the girls from rural area are given the first preference for admission. Having residencial facility they can provide computer education to rural students easily.
    So Vidyoday Foundation has provided 11 Computers to Shree Vallabh Kanya Kelavani Mandal – Rajkot.

 

Chingari

From the beginning of the year 19-20 Chingari programme has remained full of energy and enthusiasm. With the help of the principal and the teachers of C. K. G. Primary School the strength of the students has been increased remarkably. Besides std 1st and 2nd std students, the students of std 3rd and 4th who are weak , were also included and activity was on progress. Observing all these the trustee of the primary school was impressed and invited all the students to his farm house. Children visited the farm house, sang the songs, did clay work, and drawings were done by them. More over they collected the leaves and did decoration.

  • They visited Gaushala and Airport too.
  • On Yoga day the children were given the basic knowledge of Yoga.
  • 1st std students were taught how to sit cross legs.
  • The parents of 1st std students were given the information regarding Chingari and the basic concepts of discipline of the organisation. Harshadaben taught ‘Ghadia Songs.’ to the students.
  • To teach Rakhi making small students were provided the help of elder students.
  • Rotary Club has arranged Evaluation Test for the students of std 1st to std 4th students. The weak students were admitted in Chingari. Weak students were given practice of reading too.
