A blood donation camp
A blood donation camp was organized at Gandhinagar & Ahmedabad on 28th September 2018. Around 25 volunteers participated in this social cause of donating blood with full of enthusiasm and energy. This blood donation camp was organised by Vidyoday Foundation & C-Metric Solutions Pvt. Ltd. together. A team from the blood bank ‘Prathama Blood Centre’ came to both the locations along with their equipments to collect blood from the volunteers. By this initiative ‘Prathama Blood Centre’ will be able to provide blood to Thalassemia patients; without any replacement and without any cost. Every effort by the volunteers will bring a smile and a hope of life in a patient’s life. It will definitely give a big breather for a few days to the lives of Thalassemia patients.
New Clothes Distribution For Diwali Festival
Everybody wishes to wear new clothes during Diwali festival. But unfortunately not everybody can buy a pair or two or have new clothes for the festival. So Vidyoday Foundation & C-Metric Solutions Pvt. Ltd. together decided to join hands once again and bring smile to the people who could not afford to buy new clothes for Diwali festival. We had started collecting clothes from volunteers few months ago so that we can give these clothes to people who are not even in a position where they can buy or have new clothes to wear during the festival season. C-Metric Solutions Pvt. Ltd. & Vidyoday Foundation members identified few slum areas in Gandhinagar, where we could go and distribute our collected clothes. Before Diwali, we all volunteers went to the identified slum areas, met people, interacted with them and distributed the clothes which we got at the time of collection. We were happy that we succeeded in bringing smile on some faces and spread happiness in this festive season.
Christmas Celebration with Visually challenged students
Vidyoday Foundation & C-Metric Solutions Pvt. Ltd. members celebrated Christmas with the students of Andhshala (Blind School), Sector 16, at Gandhinagar. One of our volunteer dressed up as a ‘Santa Claus’ and made the children felt that Santa had come to them with a bag full of gifts, goodies and chocolates. The children were very happy to receive gifts and chocolates from Santa Claus. With the active participation of our volunteers we organized few games and activities where children participated with fun and frolic. At the end the winners were rewarded with surprise gifts and Santa’s wishes. We all danced on the floor with children with lots of excitement and joy. After the entire journey of the day of Christmas celebration we interacted with every child of the school. We could see the smiles on their faces and feel the happiness of their hearts.
Chingari
Day by day Chingari is going on the path of progress. It brightens the future of the children by spreading the knowledge helping the students in their study.In year 2018-19: 20 Students of std. I, 16 students of std. II , 3 students of std. III . and 3 students of std. IV have taken the benefit of Chingari and did progress in their study. Total 23 students of std. VIII , IX & X have played the role of teachers and helped in their study.The programme of one day picnic from morning till evening in Rajkot for the students of Chingari was arranged. The Students-Teachers were also there with them. They provoked the students of Chingaei in various, enjoyable play way activities – games. The enthusiasm of the students was boundless. They went to the farm house along with their classmates. They got acquainted with birds and trees. Enjoyed the taste of fruits in ample. Played lots of games. Found out the gifts which were kept hidden in the trees. Enjoyed limitlessly when they were successful in finding them out.
